I hope everyone had a great Christmas this year and spent it with their loved ones enjoying the festivities and are now looking forward to the new year. With that in mind I just wanted to reflect on the past year and share my thoughts and aspirations for the next as well as what it means to be positive and open minded about life. Okay... so let me be completely honest with you to start with... this year has been the most mentally challenging year I have had in my life. From starting the year with no job and taking months to find one (over 40 applied for before I ended up in a phone shop...) to ending the year in a more positive state and working in London for national Radio Stations. I have been on such a journey and struggle along the way this year dealing with not only the tough competitiveness of finding a job, but also dealing with various other social and family related issues too. I have never cried and felt so low so much in my life. It's easy to say that and be open now but during those times where all I wanted to do was say what's the point it really did get tough. But the important thing to take from those situations is that people are always there for you during those times of need and the result you get after going through a storm makes you a stronger person for doing so; so never stop fighting, loving, forgiving, caring, and being yourself.

So the past 6 months have been crazy for me, more so than ever. I found myself getting a job for TalkSPORT and Virgin Radio and got to showcase my creativity in the industry that I wished to end up in. Working with large clients daily to promote their products, sales, movies, tv programmes, as well as their brand has meant that I have helped to produce on-air content for listeners across the whole of the UK. As well as doing this on a regular basis I am also very honoured to be allowed to attend special events and days out with the most recent being the world premier of Aquaman in Leicester Square, London. It is still crazy how I am working for such big stations and with the arrival of Chris Evans and the new radio studios it will mean bigger and better things for the new year - I'm SOOO excited I cannot wait!

What a year is all I can say. Through the ups and downs of it all it is nearly over and what a rollercoaster it has been. As I mentioned previously it really is vital to always stay positive, hold on to that one glimpse of hope and always remain grateful for what you have. Believe me after so many years of rejection, people underestimating you, thinking they're better than you, you will eventually come out on top. Not to just prove them wrong but to be a better version of yourself and becoming the best person you can be; and at times you might even surprise yourself too. So what does the new year hold for me? Well I will remain fully focused on work growing within and facing new challenges learning how to deal with them and produce the best content that I can too. In terms of my social life I'd like to get out more when I can as well and visit more of the UK and have more weekends away as well as going to more concerts and events throughout the year. I also really want to get out and do more photography and grow my page a little more so than what I have done this year. The art projects, well I'm already looking for new ones so I'm sure it won't be long till the next is underway. And as for other aspects of my life I want to try and not only focus on myself more but giving time to more people and being there for them when times get tough. I think it is so important that we always consider how we deal with situations, what we say to people, the consequences, and how tough it can to face the world alone when we feel like the whole worlds against us..
So cheers to the New Year! If you're looking to change yourself completely or strive for greater things or simply wanting to continue how you are into 2019, I wish you all the best and hope you achieve everything you hope for and be a better person as a result! And if things take longer than a year to reach... well I wish you success in your journey too. All the best, Sean
